This picture represents what little French influence remained in America following the war. Other than Haiti, the French were only a minority in certain areas, such as Louisiana and Canada (specifically Quebec).

Incidentally, the next picture REALLY has nothing to do with anything, but I found it while I was looking for bilingual stop signs, and I thought it was funny, so I figured I would share:
