Surely you didn't think you would view an entire presentation from me without seeing at least one map? Seriously, this map does an excellent job of illustrating the great loss of territory France experienced with the peace settlement. All the pink and yellow territory was previously French, but was turned over to other European powers after the Treaty of Paris.

(Speaking of treaty of Paris, have you ever noticed how saying "Treaty of Paris" is ridiculously ambiguous? There are at least twenty of them...you'd think the people signing treaties would get tired of Paris after a while...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_paris)
